Brembo HPK Supersport Rotors
| As I am building this
bike mostly for Track Use upgrading the brakes was a
no-brainer and while I am not as picky about the rotors
as I am the Master Cylinder, Calipers and Pads I do still
like to stick to what I know works and gives me a
consistent braking feel, The HP SS rotors are the lower
end of the Brembo performance envelope when compared to
the Brembo T-Drive Rotors, but either choice are 1000
times better than the OEM Honda rotors for enduring the
heat and abuse of being on the race track. These Brembo SS rotors actually weigh a bit more than the OEM Honda rotors so I gained some rotational mass in exchange for better braking performance and endurance. I never like adding weight to a motorcycle especially rotating mass, but this is a trade off I simply have to accept As with so many of my articles the idea behind sharing this much info comes from multiple threads on internet discussion forums so once again instead of typing out the same basic replies once every 2-3 months I decided to put those thoughts down for everyone to view. You can read my thoughts on brake products here
Here are the same HP rotors (and .484 calipers for that matter) on my R6 (since I had the picture already handy)
