I had barely had this bike a week before I realized the SHOWA forks were just not going to get the job done at all... Luckily they are basically the same forks as the current ZX-6R just longer so I went to work modifying a FGK227 to fit the Hornet SP forks

Now for the sake of simplicity Ohlins is making a NIX30 Street Cartridge Kit for this bike that should arrive sometime next spring and it will be a fine kit I am sure, but I needed something now and wanted something a little more Track Oriented so this project for me was not only welcomed, but warranted.

Almost ironically I also had a fork seal weeping straight off the showroom floor so I took the liberty of replacing those with SKF seals while I had the forks apart...
