Making Suspension Tuning Understandable for Everyone

I don't just want to just fix your bike and make it handle better, I want to teach you what I know so that you can learn to address the problems yourself and be able tune your own bike without having to come back to me every time a handling or tire wear issue pops up. Not just suspension, but geometry tuning as well because the more you know and understand about your bike the better the feedback you can relay to me until you no longer need me at all. When you find confidence in your bike's handling you will be able to adapt to changing conditions quicker and get the most out of your riding experience.

This site is a simple portal to showcase the modifications for some of my favorite motorcycles that increase their usable performance potential not just in terms of horsepower, but overall convenience, ease of use and compliance for the rider. Within these pages you will also find product reviews, comparison tests and factual information on a variety of topics from Suspension and Geometry to Tire Sizes, Sprockets and Air Filters all with the sole purpose of dispelling many of the myths and rumors that have been perpetuated for years by riders and salespeople doing nothing more than just repeating something they have heard from someone else with no real proof or knowledge of the subject. Basically I just want riders to be able to make educated decisions about the changes they make to their motorcycles and to know how to get the best possible results from them.

I tend to focus on Suspension and Geometry issues that affect the handling of the bike rather than just engine performance. I do not specialize in or condone internal engine modifications as I believe that for the vast majority of riders the stock engine output is sufficient. Adding a fuel management option and a free flowing exhaust in most cases is more than ample for improvements to the throttle response and linear power delivery of the engine. Additionally in this day and age the bikes are coming right off the showroom floor with horsepower ratings that would shame professional roadracing custom built Superbike class engines of just 10 years ago.

I have worked in just about every facet of the motorcycle industry as a Motorcycle Mechanic, Test Rider, Track Instructor, Moto-Journalist and in more recent years as a Suspension Technician plus Sales and Support for pretty much all things sportbike related. From working booths at trade shows to pit crew at the track to restoration projects to classroom and on-track instruction for riders wanting to increase their own skill set there is pretty much no job in the realm of sportbikes that I have not enjoyed.

If you have a handling, suspension or performance related issue with a sportbike feel free to send me an email. I may or may not have a solution for you, but if I can help you I will and if I don't know I will tell you I don't know rather than feed you a bunch of BS.

In addition to the bikes specifically listed below I have a great deal of experience with most current sportbikes and I am very involved with the Ducati 1098/1198/848 platform as well.

We are currently offering trackside suspension set-up and support at trackday venues so if you see us please come by and say hello, we're pretty easy to spot. We typically have a decent assortment of the neccessities a racer would need at the track from spare bolts, Zip-Ties, Clip-Ons and grips all the way up to 520 Chain Kits, Brake Pads, Springs, Brembo Master Cylinders and Tire Warmers etc.
